Medical Records

Department of Children and Families require current immunization records and a well child physical to be current while attending licensed childcare centers such as Hand ‘Hand. It is the responsibility of each family to maintain current records to avoid dismissal from our center, as mandated by DCF. Due to the national increase of vaccine preventable diseases and for the health and safety of our staff and children, Hand ‘N Hand does not except any vaccine exemptions from Florida Department of Health vaccine requirements. This policy, promoted by the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Center for Disease Control, and the American Council on Immunization and Prevention is to protect all children in our school that are vulnerable, including infants too young to receive vaccines, children medically unable to be vaccinated, and individuals who are immunocompromised. Any medical exemptions will be reviewed by our administration and a qualified Health Care Advisor. Please note, your child may be exposed to someone who has not completed or started vaccinations due to being immunocompromised or not eligible to receive a vaccine.
